Transforming into a new Company

Pros

- Top rated data management software platform in the industry. - Financially stable and no debt. - The company and culture are currently in a transformation period which I see as very good thing. - Bringing in new talent with fresh eyes to help keep the transformation on pace. - The executive team see's what needs to improve and takes action. - The development and support are all in house resulting in industry leading customer satisfaction. - As with any company, you own your career path and the sky's the limit to where you want to go.

Cons

- Somewhat slow to market with new products but this is rapidly changing with the transformation underway. - Team cohesiveness needs some work. i.e. no sales kickoff for the past 2 years.

Pros

Versatile, highly energetic APAC support organisation that responds with value and timely handing of issues. A newly appointed office in Sydney, provides people collaboration and increased levels of communication between lines of business units. A solid technology that has evolved and adapted as no other in Backup product.

Cons

Unfortunately this organisation is sadly let down by the power brokers. As P&L rolls up into a consolidated leader it's a very challenging across pre-sales, professional services and consultancy. A fractional disconnect across these very teams fundamentally restricts the execution and forward success of the organisation. Impeding resources that could ultimately ensure positive outcomes. Commvault is surrounding by talented middle management leaders, that are truly not recognised and appreciated for the value & leadership they've illustrated. A lack of career development is another considerable disappointment within the organisation. Something that needs to be resurrected ASAP, to ensure the continued resignations halts.

Pros

Really great people, not just my team but other teams very helpful. You get the sense we are all pulling together and vast majority of people I have met from Bob Hammer down to support team are genuinely enthusiastic and enjoy helping everyone win. I'm on the sales side so lots of pressure and work sometimes very intensive, but otherwise manageable. Compensation is good and competitive. The new headquarters are frickin awesome!

Cons

There are sometimes product lags despite an awesome development team, so what customers want sometimes involves future product releases, but that's typical for software. There are some systems that don't work so well internally, but Commvault is at least small enough that it doesn't necessarily interfere with getting the job done. Don't know about career opps, there is a long ramp up time, just trying to ensure I contribute. Compensation models for sales seem to change or always be in development.
