Pros

Good vendor relationships. Good network of partners and resellers. The products are average, so don't aspect anything bleeding edge. The company spends a lot of time catching up with other software companies in the same market.

Cons

Senior leadership spent a lot time over the last few years building a new building and lawsuits, and not focused on the business. Because of a lot of turnover in the past two years not a lot of senior technical people are left to mentor new employees. Do have an nepotism issues that needs to be addressed by a "new" management teams. The senior leadership needs to replaced. They have had too many years in their jobs doing the same old thing. They need new leadership to create new ideas and direction. The services teams have little to no leadership which causes a lot of pain for customer. Cost of Professional and Support Services are very high and quality is low. The Engineers have very little training. Average products. Requires a lot of ongoing patching to fix problems. Customers spend a lot time on support calls and applying updates.

Pros

1) Great product. Existing customers see lots of value in the product. Solves some important and pervasive problems. 2) Rock solid technical sales teams - the guys selling the tech are some of the best in the industry. 3) Good & compelling vision coming down from CEO. 4) Cool new state of the art HQ (see Cons for more).

Cons

Company is suffering from the pains for "growing up" to a truly professional enterprise organization. 1) Business planning is informal and not well/timely communicated downstream to the teams who need to execute. 2) Org structure is highly political. Major functions have little or no incentive for collaboration; 3) Insistence on locating HQ in the middle of New Jersey is a challenge for hiring key talent. 4) Company has a fascination with complexity - this pervades the product, pricing models and company policies.

Pros

Great product with a lot of industry validation. Solid product training and resources

Cons

Company has experienced significant employee churn year over year and it is hard to find any sales people who have been with the company for more than 2 years. Over 80% of account managers do not make their quota. New employees need time to ramp into territories.
