Pros

I have been working at this company for close to 15 years and have seen some changes as we are growing. What stays the same is if you are serious about working here it is a great place. The upper level management takes the time to listen to a lot of suggestions and gives feedback on a one to one basis as to whether or not those ideas have merit.

Cons

This is a tough one as one of the things that makes us good is how much we use feedback from the customers in our design. Sometimes this gets tedious for testers, we should try and balance these features a bit better. Also due to the workload we have work/life balance is not good you can put in a lot of hours to make sure you put out the best product.

Pros

Lot's to learn about the company and products, never a dull moment. I have learnt something new every day since I started (Over 6 months ago). There's a constant flow of work which makes the days fly by, in fact there's not enough hours in the day to fit everything in which leaves me looking forward to the next rather than dreading it! On boarding training when first joining the company is good, and further training programmes are always on going. Lots of avenues for progression. Location couldn't be better - you can walk to Reading train station within 2 minutes. There's a strong social atmosphere inside and outside of work which you can take or leave, as it's not everyones cup of tea (mixing with colleagues both inside and outside the work place).

Cons

Sometimes workload can get the better of you, but unless you ask for help it won't magically appear - this is just common sense really - your supervisor/manager is there to help, and are always willing to. Occasionally you may go to lunch late or leave a little late if you get stuck on a support call with a customer, however as it's round the globe 24/7 support you can always hand the case over to the next engineers on shift. Benefits package is reasonable - nothing amazing but good compared to other companies!
