Pros

I had a great interview process, they responded quickly after submitting my resume and were always in touch during the interview process. I did have to go through many interviews with people from different departments but what was great was that they were done via phone or video chat so I did not have to travel to NYC. My interviews with my now direct managers, which were done in person in the region that I work in, were very pleasant and I felt comfortable talking with them. The interview process was more of a conversation than it was sitting there answering a list of questions off of a interview sheet. Currently working with Compass I feel supported and also inspired by the fast pace environment and motivation that all the regions have as a whole. Although I do not work in Head Quarters, which is in NYC, I still feel like you are part of the big picture of the company. Overall I have never felt so comfortable in a company where my needs are recognized and my opinion and ideas are considered. Compass is a great company to be part of and I love being in a company that is expanding and always looking towards the future.

Cons

One con, that may not be a con to everyone, is that you need to have a good grasp on technology as this company is half technology and half real estate and heavily relys on using different websites and platforms to connect everyone in the company. You will not find tons of file cabinets with endless about of files in the offices as Compass has really used modern technology to organizing the day to day workspace.

Pros

Compass takes care to put effort and thought into the staff and agent experience for every initiative - whether it's meetings, office space, processes, or branding, and it shows. Every day I witness staff of all levels and departments putting their heads together to figure out what kind of planning needs to happen in order to successfully achieve progress and wins. The energy is high, agents seem happy and excited to be there, and there is a positive, upbeat vibe around problem solving, celebrating wins, and the future.

Cons

The onboarding/training process was very loosely structured, which was a bit stressful and boring at first. Now that things are ramped up I see that most of this is because of the nature of the work (no two days are the same and my position involves lots of 1:1 meetings with agents), but I think Compass would do well to run a more official program of onboarding into the real estate industry/the company history, values, etc. before releasing new employees to their teams.
