Pros

If you enjoy wearing many hats and solving complex problems, this is the place to be. The top benefit of working here is Autonomy. There’s a tech stack that needs a lot of love, which means there is potential for expanding your knowledge and getting your hands dirty, which when done correctly has the potential for a raise/bonus/promotion. So far, I’ve had the freedom to use the whichever coding language I feel is best to solve a given problem, which is huge. Companies I’ve worked with in the past have wanted to use one language across the board, which at times just over complicates the issue. These is a push for continuous learning which I appreciate greatly. Our team typically gets together over zoom to share our learnings from previous sprints, new technologies used, etc... Overall, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. I must admit I was a bit hesitant in joining the company because of the lack of reviews, but really happy I took a chance. I can see myself being here for years to come.

Cons

In an effort to cut costs, we’ve downgraded some of the cloud services we are using in-house. This translates into lack of dashboards and insights. Honestly at this moment, I can’t think of anything else. Our retro’s typically have a small number of improvement concerns raised by the team, which is pretty accurate at this point.

Thanks for the kind review and our culture has certainly carried us through some tough times these past 8 months. While we have shown we can be incredibly productive while being remote, I know the teams will enjoy being able to get back in and see each other more in the months ahead. Here's to a great 2021 and a vaccine that works. :-)

Pros

The team was incredible. From top to bottom everyone is approachable and willing to help. Lots of smart and capable people full of smiles.

Cons

Covid-19 hobbled the restaurant industry substantially thus wiping out large portions of their central market.
