We’re sorry to hear that your experience at CRT was not ideal; this is certainly never our intent. We sincerely hope that you find that right opportunity for you! The business of repairing components for commercial aircraft engines is an extremely challenging and technical one and we understand that this environment is not for everyone. With that said, our candidate screening processes tend to be more stringent than most businesses and at times there will be employees hired who are not able to perform at the necessary level. We do our best to work with new hires intensely, giving them the tools and skills necessary to be successful, however, one must understand that we not only have our customers’ needs at stake but also the safety of the flying public. Regarding our retention of employees, CRT has a tremendous tenure amongst our workforce, so we’re not sure where someone would come to that conclusion. We are constantly celebrating employees retiring from CRT after having worked here for decades (two this past month). Currently the CRT leadership team consists of just under 25% former or active military members. We do celebrate our veterans and active reservists who bring a tremendous amount of positive work habits and skills to the workforce like flexibility, grit, teamwork and problem solving skills.

At CRT we pride ourselves in our diverse workforce. We believe our diversity creates a culture of creativity and problem solving that produces direct value to our customers. Regarding the comment of unprofessional behavior on the part of CRT management, this is a shocking accusation. We hold our managers to a high level of performance and an even higher level of professionalism and conduct both “on” and “off-the-clock.” Any formal accusations of inappropriate behavior by any employee would be investigated and dealt with swiftly and justly. We are not sure what position you may have held or when you might have worked at CRT but, in either case, we are saddened that your experience has not been a positive one. We strive to maximize the employee experience for all employees of CRT. Our employees are exceptional, both in the holistic sense and in their performance within their various roles. Our exceptional employees not only impact our competitive advantage in the Aviation Repair industry but they are what makes CRT great!

Pros

The money is good If you get past the 90 days ((((IF!))))

Cons

I left a company I worked at for 20 years for a chance to advance. As they said in all there advertisement. When I started the on boarding process. and they told me Congratulations and welcome Aboard, I had the Impression that I was Hired this was when I left my old job. ( NOPE!) 90 Probation period I found this out after leaving my other Job. There is far to much Micromanagement in that place. Training may not go well for a number of reasons. But Rest assured It will all be your fault in the end. They canned me before 90 days were up. I cannot go back to my former job and I have no means of support now. They give you reviews and tell you the ball is in your court. But it never is. It is a High stress place I have seen people quit on there own in the less than 90 days I have been there. Some in charge are really good at reverse engineering fault when they tell you to get out, enough said on that issue. This job is 5% machining and 95% procedural paper work that you will never have seen before even if you have 30 years experience. If you cannot get it all and take notes the way they want you to, and understand what should take a year to understand in 90 days. you will not have a job. They ruined what life I had.

We’re truly sorry to hear of your experience as described. While we understand things will not work out in every situation, we never want to hear that someone has had such a bad experience. We are sure that transitioning to any new position after having worked somewhere for 20 years would be difficult. We also understand that the work we do at CRT is highly technical and often requires more inspections and more detailed documentation than found in standard manufacturing environments. However, this is for good reason; most of the components we repair are installed in commercial aircraft engines. Public safety has to be our first concern. In addition, many of these components cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is why we’ve created a tremendous amount of training for new hires that centers around our paperwork and quality control procedures. Regarding our probationary period, yes we are evaluating employees during their first few months as would any other company. We believe in honesty and transparency and our supervisors sit down with new hires weekly to review how their job performance meets our expectations, and to review their training plans to ensure new employees are receiving the resources necessary to succeed. We believe our greatest asset is our highly motivated and very talented work force. We are always looking at improvement opportunities with our training programs. We apologize that your experience at CRT was not ideal; this is never our intent. Unfortunately, CRT is not always a fit for everyone and we sincerely hope you find that right opportunity for you!
