We are sorry to hear that you have not had the positive experience that we strive for here at CRT. While there is not a lot of details listed in your response, we would like to comment on a few items here. As far as CRT’s pay practices, we review employee compensation at least annually but also review market data regularly to ensure our employees are consistently paid equitably for the work they are performing. While we do have a highly technical environment here, we do not believe you would find our current employees describing themselves as stressed, overworked, and unappreciated. One of the first comments we always hear from customers, interviewees, auditors, or anyone walking through our facility is how happy, helpful, and engaged our employees are. We celebrate together regularly at company BBQ’s, holiday party’s and extracurricular employee events. This is a highly collaborative environment where we work together, celebrate our successes monthly at our All-Employee Meetings and take part in community events such as our distribution of employee turkeys for Thanksgiving, our Lunch with Santa for the kids and our Summer Air Show Picnic.

Pros

The company is growing and the work is complex. There is plenty of work to go around and you will never be bored. If you like overtime, you will love it.

Cons

They fire people a lot and have a very tense environment. There are more rumors than real information. The leadership is secretive and reactionary. They are trying hard, but seem to be trying anything that will help them keep up with the growth without actually changing.

We agree, maintaining turbine engine components is complex and seldom boring! And growth, while fun and exciting, also comes with its own challenges. We have been going through constant change the past few years to meet increasing customer demand, not just adding space, new equipment, new machinery, new training programs, and new employees, but also making changes to our procedures. We share information about these changes at weekly and monthly meetings, internal postings, T.V. monitors throughout our shop and we recently started a newsletter to make sure families of employees share in these exciting developments. Communication goes both ways at CRT. We have an open-door policy where all employees can speak directly to the company president or anyone else in leadership. We also have several avenues for employees to voice concerns both in-person and anonymously. Those in leadership positions have frequent meetings and immediate access to the rest of the management group, to bring suggestions for maintaining our company culture. This places every leader at CRT in a position to affect change, impact communication and build trust between employees. Regarding the topic of firing, we can state confidently that even with our recent growth we have maintained a lower rate of turnover than what is customary in our industry, in a company our size or in general industry across Northeast Ohio. We credit the high caliber of people who are joining our organization, our team-focused, employee-centric culture and our continuously improving, in-house training program.

Pros

There are a good group of diversified people on the floor. The building has a nice wide layout and is kept fairly clean.

Cons

The upper management is very sexually active and constantly want to take employees to new heights in training, rumor has it thats how THEY got there.

At CRT we pride ourselves in our diverse workforce. We believe our diversity creates a culture of creativity and problem solving that produces direct value to our customers. Regarding the comment of unprofessional behavior on the part of CRT management, this is a shocking accusation. We hold our managers to a high level of performance and an even higher level of professionalism and conduct both “on” and “off-the-clock.” Any formal accusations of inappropriate behavior by any employee would be investigated and dealt with swiftly and justly. We are not sure what position you may have held or when you might have worked at CRT but, in either case, we are saddened that your experience has not been a positive one. We strive to maximize the employee experience for all employees of CRT. Our employees are exceptional, both in the holistic sense and in their performance within their various roles. Our exceptional employees not only impact our competitive advantage in the Aviation Repair industry but they are what makes CRT great!
