Great place to start if you have no where to go

Pros

You can learn a lot here. There are opportunities to work with many teams and learn procedural concepts from many companies. The encourage training, but you must be a self-starter to initiate courses outside of your immediate tasks

Cons

Wages are below standard. Commensurate raises are not balanced; who you know and how well you are liked seem to be what they measure. Process and managerial goals are more valuable than people. Everyone is too overburdened with work to think about work environment or process improvement. If you fit inside a box, and follow what they are doing, you can remain employed

Pros

Laid back work place Interesting people Informed us 5 months in advance that the were laying us (Dallas service desk) off and giving our jobs to other CompuCom locations

Cons

They do not pay you well They have managers that act like spies for upper management They will con you into doing jobs/tasks above your pay grade and not reward you
