Pros

Great benefits and freedom to work from home.

Cons

Low salary. Tendency to sell contracts too low in order to ensure they win the contract. Then cut people and drive unattainable goals to the field teams. $16 is not a living wage in Denver for experienced staff.

Tightly controlled and resource constrained

Pros

Many good, creative, and conscientious people work with you and there are some real leaders in their fields in different parts of the company. Some of the areas of specialty are strong and well developed parts of the company. There is glimmer of vision and forethought for the future. National reach and international partnerships give the organization real reach.

Cons

Private equity ownership has been strangling the company for years and continues to keep growth and development under tight constraint. Almost every effort to grow business or expand into new areas is under developed and tentatively lead. Many new ideas are strangled by lack of resources or support and the organization has a hard time moving from their comfort zones. Leadership can be tenuous at times then overbearing at others. Competitive compensation can be a challenge and you have to really do something unnatural to get a decent raise/promotion if you stay around long enough. Every couple of years they try a new strategy without giving it the support it needs or the time necessary to develop. Stuck at the same level of business for years even with several mergers or infusions of talent.
