Used to be OK, went downhill in 2013

Pros

They'll pay for you getting certifications, and most of the people working there are nice. Decent PTO

Cons

Management at all levels seems disconnected or apathetic to what the employees are dealing with. Upper management seems unconcerned regarding employee retention by refusing to provide merit increases, and no cost of living adjustments. Then they're surprised when people take the skills that they've learned and gone elsewhere. New hires are paid roughly 75% of market value compared to HP, NCR, IBM, and others in the area. Health benefits are now no longer attractive due to onerous health metric penalties. CEO will send out emails with his peacock feathers out strutting about how much money was made, then turn around 2 weeks later and say they can't afford to pay for merit raises. There's a severe disconnect.

Pros

My coworkers were nice and easy to get along with...most of them at least. It's a great place for entry-level technicians to learn about the support world when starting out. Very easy mindless work. If you have a laid back manager you can spend your time studying to advance your career. I learned Python in the few months I worked there between calls.

Cons

So unbelievably boring; This was real-life office space. I saw employee desks there with 15 year employee awards and they were still support techs, level 1 no less. There is not going to be any advancement in this company if you hire on as a support tech unless you are tenacious about getting moved up. Even then it takes at least five years from what I could tell and you will not get any further than team lead, there's just no way.
