Pros

Good place to get experience. Generous vacation time. Overall they are very good about allowing for time off. Management's lack of interest is a blessing in that no one will come down very hard when mistakes are made.

Cons

No opportunity for advancement. The pay rate is substandard. Management provides little or no feedback. Frequent layoffs. Managment's lack of interest is discouraging because no one cares or notices when a job is done well. The company is very top heavy with lots of managers and not enough workers. Promotions and job opportunites within the company strictly depend on being part of the clique.

Pros

Great environment if you are a self-starter and can think on the fly. Not micro-managed. Work with current technology. Flexible opportunities if you are willing to move around or work on different sites. Medical/dental benefits. Some 'perks' offered in the form of participating discounts via web retailers and participating merchants.

Cons

As an outsource company that gets paid on meeting client's SLA, peformance is largely based on meeting SLA-it's almost the sole yardstick for measuring everything. Engaging employees and making a positive work environment is largely lip service. Stress in managing workload is up to you. Little room for advancement. Pay is sub-par for the average when compared to market salary for similar positions.

Pros

We have never ending change to challenge you as we grow into whatever it is the senior executives think we should be. While the regular employees don't necessarily agree with the goals, it certainly provides plenty of opportunity to stretch yourself if you find challenging projects to work on. Management is quite flexible regarding remote work allowing employees to work from home on a regular basis. This may not apply to all areas of the company but is certainly a benefit in the IT organization. Culturally, it's a happy place. Despite the fact senior management makes boneheaded decisions making employees feel like no one cares about them, the majority of the employees are happy and easy to get along with.

Cons

Dealing with the stupidity that is senior management. Acquisitions that make sense on paper but are ineffectually managed in their execution. Lack of clear decision making and direction. A retention bonus plan that is absolutely pathetic. 15 years of service gives you enough points to buy some piece of junk from an on-line store that's worth about $45 retail. $45 for 15 years of service. Unbelievable. Pay is below average for the level of skill and job requirements. Lack of resources to get tasks completed in a timely manner. Too many conflicting requirements without clear direction from senior management about which should be addressed first.
