Pros

I've been with CWS for 5 years. They've treated me fairly and have responded to any issues promptly.

Cons

Government contract work, if they lose the contract you'll be reapplying for your own job, usually at a lower rate. Personal reviews were few and far between, but if you mentioned it to management you could still get your annual raises.

Pros

-Decent 401(k) -Tuition Reimbursement -Solid Pay

Cons

This company has thrown this current contract into a downward spiral the second they took over. From the beginning, and ever onward, they continue to try to pull various stunts that they pretend that we don't notice. Everything from your pay, schedule, PTO, and even other agreed upon benefits and contractual requirements are a fluid concept to them. The management and upper leadership downright harass and make fun of contractors. Benefits will state that they start in 90 days but it's actually another month. You constantly have to monitor and check your pay and other received benefits and then attempt to contact HR to correct the random little mistakes and accidents that occur, which are almost always in CWS's favor. When the contract changed over we were given 6 months to obtain certain requirements once they were selected, but instead people get an email on a holiday that not only moved the date ahead, but in the same message threatened either paycuts or termination. The biggest concern is that with ever-shifting goalposts, what happens when more and more people start missing them? It feels like the jobs are on rocky foundations from the get go. Ever since they took over, we have been hemorrhaging personnel while on-site leadership and remaining team leaders do their best to bail water out of a sinking ship. They took a well oiled machine and starting throwing wrenches into it due what I can only assume is either incompetence or an active effort to trash the site. Computer World Services does not care about you, even less so than many major corporations. If you hold values to ethics, morales/morals, team continuity and need/want a company you can trust. Save yourself the time. If your contact is moving over to CWS. Update your resume, update your LinkedIn, and save yourself the hassle.

Pros

The job isn't too difficult if you can find answers on your own and not expect suitable training.

Cons

The training here is absolutely minimal. They'll brush over the main topics and then sit you with someone else to hope you learn the correct material from them. You will be micromanaged every step of the way. Management continually sets rules of what is and isn't allowed and then breaks those rules or bends them for their "favorites". I agree with the person who said it was like returning to high school cliques. Systems will constantly shut down, rendering you unable to help anyone. Company claims to have an "open door" policy, yet management constantly has their doors closed. When able to actually communicate with one, they do not listen/care what you have to say. There is no room for advancement in the company and the benefits are minimal.
