Pros

Benefits are decent, health, 401K - costs aren't terrible. There still is a small number of the employees (company likes to refer to them as "colleagues") are relatable and approachable.

Cons

Definitely not a high-paced, quick career-growing environment. Many of the colleagues are stuck in a slump - both in a career and life standpoint. They either have low ambitions, comfortable with the pay and work and not strive OR they believe they are in an awesome environment, making a difference and succeeding in life. The best word to describe the entire atmosphere that this mindset creates is, "Mediocre". We have associates that have been around for 12 YEARS, and have only recently become a Business Analyst II. And to see other's with the company for 5+ years with no promotion and little or sometimes zero raises?! That's unheard of in today's competitive market! I felt like I worked with some REALLY GREAT LEADERS previously, so I experienced a huge difference once started with Concentra, it was the complete opposite: decision making on-the-fly, no procedures, no effort/interest to create procedures, no time and energy invested in molding associates to become better, no clear guidance from management, and obviously no career roadmap. Client promises are made from the top management levels, and everyone below has to meet those goals without given adequate time to assess the projects. Not to mention, sudden changes to specs or requirements, that happens nearly daily and the team has to "figure it out" and "make it happen". It's fine to have this happen once in awhile, but all the time does make it get old and burn out the team.

Pros

Pay is ok. Being able to interact with patients and help them better themselves in their lives is nice too.

Cons

They don’t care about their employees. Most center directors I worked with there had health issues because they ended up caring more about numbers then their own staff’s health. As center director there were many times I had call outs and my senior leadership team didn’t help or send any help so I had to run the back office all by myself as an MA when I was the operations director, seeing almost 70 patients all by myself. Even asked my manager if I could close 30 min early to finish my manager duties and was told no, worked 13 hours that day because I had to stay 3 extra hours to finish my work as well as close the center. Lost 70 pounds in less than 6 months because of that type of stress.

Pros

You have no other opportunities

Cons

They don’t really practice medicine of any kind. The practice is largely limited to occupational medicine, but not by specialists in the field. The benefits don’t really exist if you need them. The company will squirm its way out of any responsibilities. There are no redeeming qualities for this corporation.
