Confluent is a fast growing venture backed company. Here are five reasons I enjoy working here: 1) Lots of internal promotion opportunities. There is a culture which values promoting within the company. I've experienced this and have seen others who are willing to work hard promote to new positions and responsibilities. The company has a tendency to look at the current team and see who can take on an expanded roles vs looking outside the company. This has been great for my career. 2) Confluent is right across the street from Cal Train. Traffic in the area is terrible and having easy access to the Palo Alto Cal Train stop makes travel easy. 3) Cool. The technology is incredible and we many of the worlds hottest logos working with us. 4) Lunch. We have lunch brought onsite daily. 5) Benefits. The company does their best to get the best health care and benefits package they can provide.

The interview process was short and sweet. All in all, I think I was done within a week. There was never a shortage of time or people and I felt like everyone I met with was passionate about the work that they were doing. The CFO and CEO were even willing to have follow up calls to address any last minute questions I had. I was able to accept my offer knowing that without a doubt, I was making the right decision.
