-constant micro-management comes from ineffective team leads/supervisors, who fear repercussions from the upper management if their teams aren't hitting proper numbers.
-half your time is spent reviewing work of others, which is the same work you design all day, makes for a highly boring day.
-productivity is solely based on "production", ie # of designs you complete. time spent on side projects, quality meetings, other meetings, company meetings, etc do not count towards your daily quota, therefore you must stay late on an almost daily basis in order to avoid being reprimanded.
-highly manipulate atmosphere regarding quotas- you will be told this is all about the "team" and "helping the team succeed". it's not, it's about numbers.
-if you need more than 1 hour of personal time to go to the doctor/dentist/etc you are required to use PTO.
-condescending, passive aggressive management who regurgitate upper management sentiments ad nauseam. numbers are all that matter.
-zero opportunity to give suggestions for betterment of the department/company.
-zero opportunity for meaningful career advancement.
-department will likely be outsourced in the near future- no job security.
-zero marketable skills to be gained aside from CAD.

-highly secretive environment, you will have no idea what the goals of the company are.
-if you have an engineering degree, look elsewhere! this is not a job for engineers. it's a job for high school grads with some CAD background.
