Pros
Technology makes you feel like your work has a positive impact on the lives of patients (which it does).
Cons
-Pay is not very competitive. -Benefits are increasingly not competitive (no college reimbursement, poor 401k benefits, etc. Healthcare benefits however are okay). -Management is very poor. -CEO is not shy about yelling at various employees resulting in a terrible work culture. -HR does not really help as they are understaffed. -Although there are some managers who want to help people who are working hard and motivated to perform well, the success criteria to get promotions/raises are not well defined/established and as a result, room for growth stagnates resulting in low retention rates. -The general feeling is that the company is failing. The general outlook appears to be such that the company will be sold because the technology it holds in patents is the companies only inherit. The manufacturing practices of this orthopedic company are not resulting in this companies' success but are rather a thorn in it's side (constant fires to put out, poor management and leadership...).
