Cons
Your career depends on how well you navigate politics, favoritism, ineptitude, and laziness. Management is a clique and the number of managers far exceeds the number of employees doing engineering work. Upper level management carves up revenue to give to themselves as large bonuses while denying raises to the workers who actually produce the company's products. Company is frighteningly cheap. I suspect private equity is destroying the company by pushing extreme cost cutting measures to inflate their ebitda targets. Result is mass offshoring of domestic engineering roles. Layoffs furloughs etc. Leadership policy is to keep company perpetually understaffed on purpose so workloads are always high (fear of employees having free time to improve skillset or learn new things I suppose) Work environment kind of resembles a white collar sweatshop. Rush through designs as fast as possible to invoice client as fast as possible. Everything is about numbers including you. Your wage is just an inconvenient expense they want to get rid of at the end of the day.
