Pros
The only pro was the camaraderie with some of the colleagues. Many of us were in the same boat and were able to lean on each other for support. Products are still well-regarded in the industry, which speaks to the talent of the engineers who built them before the decline.
Cons
ConnectWise is a sinking ship, and it’s heartbreaking to watch. After 3 years I was axed in a sneaky layoff, leaving me gutted. Executives prioritize their bonuses and customer price hikes over employees, resulting in layoffs and departments being downsized without warning. It's all about short-term gains. Raises are nonexistent or so low they are an insult, especially given the company's private equity owner. Benefits are so poor that it's clear employee well-being is not a priority. The cybersecurity practices are shockingly lax. Recent breaches (including ScreenConnect) exposed customer data and led to exploits. Hackers have abused vulnerabilities to deploy malware, and even simple certificate rotations caused widespread issues. It's embarrassing and partners and customers are jumping ship because of it.
