Softmart offers opportunity to everyone that is willing to work hard. If you are looking to expand the breadth of your IT knowledge and grow a career this is the place. The management is open to hearing suggestions and using those ideas that fit the company model to grow. Cooperative team environment.

Cons

None that I can really think of.

Cons

Systems could be updated. A bit of the "not my job" attitude from some. Lots of channels to get action.

We do recognize the need to upgrade our systems and now that we are part of PC Connection, Inc. we will be doing some joint systems review to see what the best approach will be for both companies in the short term and in the long term to offer better tools for us to enable success.

Pros

Work in a friendly, fun environment with great team members and leaders. Constant training and skill building exercises. Freedom to make decisions on how to grow your product line and increase vendor funding. Company funded events and outings are a blast. Team contests with cool prizes.

Cons

In product management it can be difficult at times to hit goals and for larger product lines it can be difficult to have a major impact on your bonus. That being said when the line is doing well the bonuses can be very profitable. Aditionally, reporting tools and customer tracking systems are outdated.
