Pros

The best part about working at Connection is vacation time. Start off with 3 weeks, then 4 weeks after 5years of employment, and finally 5 weeks after 10 years of tolerance with the company.

Cons

Well most recently the head sent down a message likening the current implementation of our new ERP system to the battles at Normandy. This has really upset many of the veterans that work here by comparing a historic battle to the current stress filled train wreck of a new system that was not fully developed after 2.5 years of working on it. This statement was made with no apology, it's like they are hoping everyone will forget it was said, but it is in writing and in every mail box across the company...its not going away. Another stab to the eye would be the forthcoming emergency inventory to rectify stock issues since the implementation of the new system. Employees are expected to give up the 3 day weekend and miss celebrating the 4th of July with there families.... we have sacrificed enough for this company since the start of the Covid and now into the implementation of a broken system. Many of us managers and supervisors have not gotten anything but more stress for working through the covid and we are ready to throw in the towel. If the manager pay was more like the industry standard I and others may be willing to dedicate ourselves a little more, but if I was still a supervisor or lower I would look elsewhere for more family oriented company's.

Our robust vacation practice recognizes the importance of time away from work to focus on rest and relaxation. Our total rewards strategy is a compilation of our investment in our employees – comprehensive benefits options to address employees’ personal health and financial well-being coupled with copious professional development opportunities. It is common to have challenges and bumps along the way when launching a new ERP system. We’ve heard your concerns and welcomed your suggestions. We’ve realigned business partners and deployed additional personnel to address the critical matters impacting Connection ERP users and our customers. We will not waiver and remain committed to addressing the noted concerns. We are surrounded by profound talent and marked resolve will be the victor. Thank you for your continued commitment to enhancing the user experience with the new ERP platform.

Pros

3 weeks of vacation to start

Cons

This company couldnt plan a childs birthday party. The amount of unorganization is unbelievable. Our quarterly luncheon/meeting yesterday was the same ole song and dance, lies and false promises. Its funny that they blame the economy for not being able to find people to stay and work. Upper management is not smart enough to realize they cant keep people because of their actions and they cant hire experienced people because of the low pay. Its stupid how many times one of the VPs has to apologize for not listening to the employees and then turns around and preaches employee empowerment. This place is a zoo.

Connection makes considerable investments in recruiting talent and retaining employees. In light of an influx of significant program rollouts at the TIDC, there is a demand for more talent. In addition to strategically repositioning resources and employing technology to streamline the fulfillment process, we’ve successfully procured a contract recruiter to secure the talent needed to meet our customer requirements. By investing in our employee population through a competitive, comprehensive toward rewards package, committing to educational and professional improvement opportunities and providing emerging technical equipment, tools and resources, Connection demonstrates the commitment to the welfare of our employee population and the success of the organization.

Good old boys network in Corporate - women beware

Pros

For men, worklife balance is good and there is room to advance. The cafeteria set-up is nice, and the occasional snack carts were nice. I learned a lot, but only because I busted my bum. If you are a guy, it is not a bad place to work.

Cons

For women, you will work longer hours, be overlooked for promotions and generally treated like a second class citizen. This has gone on for years, and HR and senior management know it. Strange that the company is majority owned by a woman, and yet this is the worse gender discrimination I have ever seen in my career. The ratio of men salaries and titles to women is shocking, never mind the perks of long lunches and less hours that men have. Truly amazing that this goes on in this day in age.
