We do think we have great people that work here. We are addressing our compensation programs for Account Managers for 2016. We do not agree that the culture is an issue, in the last 3 months alone we have had Halloween Costume events, we gave out Turkeys to all employees as a gesture of appreciation of everyone’s hard work, a recognition breakfast for all support employees for helping to make our Q3 operating income target, and a Holiday buffet where all employees received a dinner served by the Executive Management Team. In addition, the Sales force has countless programs during the course of the year that offer trips, sporting events, and other social venues. Not many companies today offer anything nearly as comprehensive. That being said, we are always looking to better our culture and work environment.

Pros

Work from home. That's it.

Cons

Poor pay, heavy middle management that doesn't have a clue what they are doing. Little to no control over your own book of business. Connection really needs to take a step back and reevaluate the business model. Everything here is chaos. Middle management is more concerned with making themselves look good to the higher ups then actually doing their jobs. They have new hire training classes every month for account reps because the position is a revolving door. You're calling old, bad opps that previous/current reps had no success with. The places you're calling know it's connection when they see the number and never answer. Their systems are archaic and outdated. If you've done sales before, you'll quickly realize this is more a clown show then a quality opportunity. You'll be fed a series of lies on how someday you'll make it to the top as an account manager with a massive book of business. Truth is, the Account Managers that have that got in with the company when the getting was good. It will never happen.

Pros

WFH all days a week, company provide technology.

Cons

Every week, I have 7, 1-on-1 with my manager calling about my performance, my call strategy, etc. At the beginning it sound it was very couchable and customize training for account Managers, within weeks manager start texting and calling me every 5-10 min asking me “if I already call XYZ company? Why I haven’t? What they said? Then it turns into a daily interrogatory. “From 8:14 am to 8:22 am, what did you do? Why you didn’t make calls? We are paying you for calling people not for you to go to the bathroom, or stretch.” And every other 5 minutes my manager telling me “I’ve watching your calls for the last 5 hours, you took 3 breaks each of 10 minutes, you could have use those 30 min to call at least 12 different companies.” What I thought it was a stable culture and support job, it turns into a huge burnt out and police interrogatory like if I was a Criminal. Every day I have 1-2 calls with manager and is not to discuss my performance, or sale strategy, is mostly about why am I taking breaks, why didn’t pitch in a different way and how he is disappointed at me. I would have quit so far ago, but I need this job so sustain my kids before they go to college. These job will retaliate and micromanage the most of you, until one day you will start hating your job, your life due to people that have no competence and skills to be leaders and actually support his teammates. They will treat you as an “employee” NOT as a “teammate” or “Co-worker” Avoid at all cost working on here!!
