Pros

You can meet some really good people and make many great friends here. You get to learn about the latest devices.

Cons

They don't pay you point blank period. When working here be prepared to only take home an hourly check. With the new pay structure they are basically ripping off their employees. They feed you some crap about how their top 4 or 5 employees are making $4k checks while everyone else is suffering and getting robbed, and also forget to mention that those employees are at high volume stores. Then they set these high margins for the lower volume stores, and those margins are almost impossible to meet so those employees can't even match the numbers of the higher volume stores almost EVER! It's a shame how they parade the many possibilities of success when you sell but won't pay you for your sales. You could sell so many things here but if the margin set for you has not been met you get paid for nothing and basically used all that effort selling a phone case and screen protector for a $9 and hour check. They give you coupons and sales tactics to help you sell more but then deduct them right out of your check when you use them... all in all they always find a way to rob you and then find a way to justify it. This place is a joke ran by people who care nothing for their employees except to make money off of them.

I am sorry to hear about your frustration and we always appreciate feedback but I do want to address some items. This is retail sales and in order to make money, you have to give customers a great experience and sell solutions that will make their lives easier. Our compensation plan has more upside to it than any other wireless retail in Houston - as long as you perform average or above. In order to receive a payout, you have to sell 22 boxes... that is less than one per day worked. If you are having problems with that, let us know and we can assist you. There are large commission checks handed out and yes we do celebrate them! Here are the actual numbers that you left out (using March 2017 as an example). - Out of 372 Sales Rep Employees - 306 Qualified for a compensation payout. = 83% - Our Top 100 Sales Makers earned an average $1730 - The other 206 Sales Makers earned an average $415! If you are outside of those groups, then we are probably equally as frustrated with your performance as you are but we want to help get you to where you want to be. Please communicate with your leadership so we can help anyway we can. We are very transparent with how the compensation plan works... the individuals who show up and work hard WILL make money. The individuals that show up and wait for things to happen are probably not in the right place. I am not sure which training you are referring to - from your direct leadership or our internal Learning Management System. Everyone that has used our internal iLearn training has raved about how it helps them. Each of us learns differently and we understand that. Let us know how we can help!

Pros

Sales Contests, Benefits, Co-Workers are cool.

Cons

Store Managers and below are basically the same. The DM's get to basically hire and fire the people in the stores. The work life balance is terrible. The pay is repulsive, you can work directly for Sprint and make almost TWICE as much. Not a lot of room for advancement. A lot of politics when it comes to promotions and hiring.

Pros

Tech, DMs, some employees, some customers.

Cons

Poor work/life balance, company expects you to "coach up or out" employees but does not care if this means you are forced to work WELL beyond salaried hours. Bonus is eviscerated regardless of how much you are in excess of gross profit targets if, your employees don't sell enough accessories. Accessory prices on most popular items are not competitive.
