Pros
The job itself is fairly easy... as long as you are used to sales and can be sort of a chameleon. There are definitely ways to be CMS compliant and make some really good sales. A lot of the bad reviews are from people who were laid off after the busy season. There are a lot of factors to the layoffs. I was personally a top performer in my group at CXP and won 3 giftcards worth $400 in addition to my bonus and commissions. As a single mom, winning those giftcards was a godsend. As long as you work hard and the company can verify that you were logged into the sales platform for 7 out of your scheduled 8 hours, then you should be able to stay on board with cxp. I personally have some teammates that had pretty low sales, but because their work ethic was on point, cxp did not lay them off and they are still with us and learning to improve. So basically, anyone who was laid off is just salty because they didn't follow all of the rules.
Cons
All that being said, there seems to be a lack of communication about certain bonuses and commissions. Not all people were made the same promises upon getting hired. Some of this seems to be due to if you were hired directly by cxp vs being hired by a third party company. Many people were made promises by the third party company that ended up never coming true. I can understand the frustration with this. The only promise I was personally made was a certain schedule, which I ended up having to fight to get. Now.... if you are smart and actually have a brain you will take whatever sounds too good to be true with a grain of salt. My best advice? Do not count your commissions or any promised bonuses towards your bills. Forget they exist. I was personally paid what I was promised and more. Others have not had my same experience sadly. The company is very disorganized but if you can think for yourself and you have a track record for making at least 1 sale per 10 calls in past positions, then you will thrive in the position.
