Pros

Good pay, I worked there for 3 years and left making 23.10 Good call que's friendly for newer people learning managers are helpful requesting time off is very easy and straight forward and you can use pto right away and you get 3 weeks of it, however the longer you work there if it's still the same after years you can get more PTO for the year

Cons

My team in particular had a terrible manager who is now fired but it took them forever to fire her. I left and would have stayed if she was fired sooner. Some members can be very rude but a lot of them are okay they want you to push their voice recognition software on members and the way they do it is very scummy in my opinion. They basically want to make it not an option to opt out and make it very hard for people to opt out. I dont feel their randomly generated security question system lexis nexis is very good and you can easily guess the answers they have a lot of system issues where things are unusable

Pros

Remote first organization for corporate positions. Flexible scheduling. Good benefits.

Cons

L&D "leadership" consistently communicates vague expectations or leaves out information then reprimands when you don't follow the unspoken expectations. L&D "leadership" consistently prioritizes speed over quality which is in direct conflict with the culture guidelines provided by senior leadership. There are pay discrepancies across the department with one team making about $10,000 less per year while both teams use the same skills and complete the same types of tasks. L&D "leadership" clearly plays favorites having stated it's "already been decided who will grow with us and who will not". EVERYONE should be provided the opportunity to grow and be provided support in areas that they could improve on. The favorites get longer team meetings & 1:1s as well as quarterly lunches while the remaining half of the team does not get the same treatment. No opportunities for growth as lead positions have been dissolved as individuals have left and positions that are posted are tailored specifically for the individual the director wants for the position. L&D "leadership" will ask the team for feedback about something and then basically do the exact opposite. Ex: everyone was asked to complete a survey about what they'd like to see in a team meeting, then they ended up cancelling the meeting instead of implementing the feedback. Responsibilities you enjoy will be taken away without any discussion whenever leadership wants. Minimal updates are communicated to the full team. "Leadership" consistently shows up to team meetings or 1:1s stating they have nothing to share. There's no effort put in by the leader to actually facilitate team meetings and make them productive. Numerous times I found out about updates that my leader was already aware of that would have been beneficial to have been discussed in team meetings yet they're never brought up. "Leadership" will remind individual contributors that they should focus in meetings while they clearly message each other about their employees while in team meetings with them or have their focus elsewhere consistently. I personally was constantly being asked to explain and justify my every move. Why I talked to certain coworkers about certain topics. Why I asked a certain coworker a question because "they weren't the best person to ask" even though they were able to answer my question. Why I thought it was appropriate to even talk about training programs other than the one I was leading. Why I thought it would be okay to have a busy teams status for a longer period of time. All of which lead to a write up and being on the verge of a panic attack every time I logged into work and even after logging out since the position is 100% remote and I was working in my living room. "Leadership" constantly has a packed schedule attending meetings regarding organizational updates (which as stated previously, updates aren't brought back to the team). After attending these meetings, they then outline EXACTLY what the content being created should include and send it to one employee to make. This basically turns the role into more of a graphic design role because that's all that's left to do. All while they say that they don't want to "stifle creativity". If you change even the smallest thing without asking prior, even though your leader is going to review the end result, you could be subject to a write up.
