Pros

They try and institute a culture of fun at the offices. Nerf battles, innovation days, beer cart Friday's, good summer party's. Hours are good.

Cons

Project management and project management are in very poor shape. Each product (and product manager) gets to do as they like and therefore each team is disconnected. None of the products are consistent and the product managers run roughshod over the User Experience teams. User experience has been thorough a half dozen managers in only a few years. Basically the products have become dated and generally poor experiences. The product managers have struggled to innovate - not actually listening to users - and produced sub par clunky products. There have been quite a few high profile projects that ultimately went nowhere. God knows how many millions they have wasted on projects that never launched.

Pros

Brand recognition, good work life balance, lenient expense policy, SSO, parking garage, decent equity, ESPP, close to 128, gym in building.

Cons

Stock has really struggled over the last 12 months. As of this review it's at $24, down from $43. Technology is hot and Constant Contact is going in the wrong direction. Employee engagement scores are way down. Before leaving, 45% of the people in my group were looking for jobs outside the company. Constant Contact is the 800 lb Gorilla that can't seem to figure out how to innovate new products. The all hands on deck 'Toolkit' initiative fell flat on its face because it wasn't new. It was just the same tired products wrapped into a bundle. Lipstick on a pig so to speak. The company spent millions on a 50,000 sqft 'Innovation Loft' and it's better suited for a place to lie down on a couch and take a nap. Nothing innovative is being done there. Marketing Automation companies like Exact Target and Marketo have come downstream and Constant Contact has no answer except for the constant (pun intended) reminder that they offer free support. If you stay here for any length of time, you will become a dinosaur in the tech space, just like their products.
