Pros

The pay is over the top and the benefits are good

Cons

If you are in management you are asked to cut cost even though they keep increasing the union wages to the point that it is impossible to even meet a budget let alone cut one. Some of the Union people are making over $200k with their OT. No wonder Consumers Energy has the highest rates of ANY electric utility in the Midwest. Also, the company refuses to discipline the union workers for fear of losing people. The company is terribly run ever since Garrick took over. Upper management is afraid to lead and they are so focused on DE&I that they are promoting people to positions they have no reason for being in. This company WILL go bankrupt.

Pros

Coworkers are nice. Decent Benefits. 401K Match.

Cons

Senior Leadership, and all management other than your direct supervisor are a joke. They need to remove entire 2023 Leadership Team AND board. Current CEO is constantly screwing up. He doesn’t care about his employees at all. He only cares about the investors as his $9,000,000 salary is tied to that. He is very quickly running the company along with his leadership hench-people into the ground. This use to be a great company to work for. Everyone who has been working remotely for years is being pulled back into the office on Mon/Tue/Thur (which I’m sure will increase from 3 to 4 or 5 days soon) even when you have been given a great performance. He is surrounded by spineless Yes people at the Director level and above. Across the board nobody is happy about return to work but if you challenge any leader respectively the VPs are physically on video showing they are annoyed and “how dare you challenge” me attitude. Their walk doesn’t line up with their talk. Buzzwords like: Empowerment, Work Life Balance, people are our #1 priority blah blah blah. Don’t waste your time with this place. I’m a few years away from retirement and I’m just trying to ride it out since they no longer care about us. Southwest Airlines takes care of their employees first and then allow the employees to take care of their customers. Not here. The culture is dead here or rather transformed into a “Do it my way, or the highway” culture.

Wrong direction since exit of last CEO.

Pros

Variety in role, support unique equipment, good benefits, and time off policy. Still feeling positives set in place from last CEO.

Cons

New CEO, VP's and C-suite are out of touch. Empire builders at the top. Company is lacking in efficient processes and alignment between different functions. Companies vision trending in the wrong direction since new CEO took over.
