Amazing dedicated people work for Contra Costa County!

Cons

Being a decade+ behind in newer technology and case management systems as well as keeping up with environmental advances (eg; going paperless). Compensation is also the lowest of surrounding counties and rarely/barely keep up with the cost of living in Contra Costa County. The county continues to lose VALUABLE dedicated employees to surrounding counties who seem to value the experience and dedication more than this current Administration.

Long-term managers who no longer care about making improvements. There is something called doing things "the County way." This means getting things done at the slowest pace possible, with the least concern for accuracy.
