Pros

8 week training course free, company laptop provided, although you will have to pay for travel/hotel if you are out of town. Coursework is very in depth and you will learn a lot. Co workers are very nice and friendly for the most part.

Cons

Management- very deceitful they made all the employees post fake reviews as you can tell. Always making false promises to the employees when you begin training they tell you "in 3 years you will be making 70k" knowing that very few people will still be there after the first year. Your starting salary will be absurdly low for a software developer (30k) and you will be promised raises but you will be ignored when it comes time for those raises. Also be prepared to move anywhere across the country once you complete the training. Management only cares about billing hours and NOTHING else. You will get less than 2 weeks of PTO per year, and management will manipulate you into not using your pto days so they can get more billable hours out of you.

We are glad to hear you had some positive takeaways from your experience, but are disappointed that you didn't have a great one overall. Much has changed since your review, but critical feedback helps us to improve. Thanks again for taking the time to review us!

Pros

A good place for recruits. The Java fasttrack training program is very good, comprehensive and effective, though you have to work hard on it. The supervisor is very considerate and friendly. He gave sincere suggestions and help to the students careers.

Cons

Management is.. not well organized. The recruiter/managers care only the money they eat from the employees who have assignments with clients, and they eat a lot. Some of them are very crafty, so stay smart. Good and average employees get the same pay. Some assignments are bad, but they don't consider for the employees, just push. They even eat the PTOs..

Pros

The training program is generous and thorough. You work as an employee of Cook Systems, not as a contractor, so you get benefits and a salary, even between jobs.

Cons

Management is spread too thin to hear/address employee concerns effectively. Crowded work environment. Unclear corporate organization means employees have to treat everyone they meet as a superior, which is exhausting. The management doesn't pay enough attention to their employees to know when clients blame their poor organization & communication on Cook employees.

We will take your view into consideration. There are very few customer commands that can be "shrugged off" though. We will make every attempt to pay close attention and protect our employees from unreasonable situations.
