Pros

Flexible schedule, decent pay for the area and entry level position, try to get into a corporate role if you can as you’ll be out of the local prying eyes

Cons

Local leadership is toxic and full of nepotism, show up drunk, creepy surveillance, blame you for their employees short comings, don’t know how their employees do their jobs, Machesney Park gets paid less than other locations and is not reflective of locality pay, do not get the same benefits as Phoenix locations

Decent pay but constantly cutting costs

Pros

Pay is better than some places in the area

Cons

They seem to be always trying to cut costs. Upper management thinks you are over staffed when really you don't have enough staff or barely enough to do the job safely. They compare script counts of IV medications to that of oral medications and think it takes the same amount of time to check. Reducing costs, staffing and making everything about lead time in no way enhances patient safety which seems to fall by the way side.
