Pharmacists stretched to their limits

Pros

Rapport developed with physicians and other clinical personnel. Challenge of complex therapies. Not involved with retail store non clinical headaches.

Cons

Over-emphasis on metrics at the expense of clinical judgement. Ratio of techs to RPh's dangerously close to being over state regulations. Lack of teamwork between pharmacy and reimbursement depts leads to delays in shipments waiting for auth. Turnover beginning to affect morale.
