      Pros

      This is a relatively easy job to get into based on the location of the system. If you like working a 9-5 job and want to get started in the field then this is a good place to start.

      Cons

      The nature of working in a hospital i.e. patients, doctors, politics. The pay is not great and they do not give more pay when you go from a LLMSW to a LCSW.

      Innovate and forward-thinking. New technologies, availability of necessary resources, Magnet Designation, interdisciplinary peer value of nursing teams

      Cons

      Accordion effect happening with pay scales. New hires are making nearly the same as those with several years of experience, especially with shift differentials. This is necessary to get new staff in the door however it's a fantastic way to demoralize all of your staff that has held out through the past several years of turmoil.
