      Pros

      Beautiful campus and great wineries around the region. Daily shuttle bus to/from NYC if you want to visit the big city. Work hours tend to be very regular and management is open to flex time for salaried employees. Great skiing within 1-hour drive.

      Cons

      Area tends to be overcast and 'grey' most of the year. Cold weather and snow. Campus has significant parking problems and you have to pay a premium for preferred parking -- or park in the free commuter parking lot and ride the shuttle bus.

      Pros

      Here at Cornell University, you have adequate freedom to conduct the research that you want to do. This is a good place to learn and study, but not ideal for those who seek money only.

      Cons

      The payment is relatively low. That is true for every place dedicated to research. Not powerful enough to create atomic bombs to be dropped at Wall Street.

      Pros

      Cornell provides great benefits, such as employee ongoing education and various other programs to further develop your career. Plus working at an educational institution you have some great resources to pull from.

      Cons

      The only thing that I would say is a con is the slow transition for departments to use new and improved business practices. Some people find it hard to change from their old ways.
