Pros

This is really meaningful work, and great for people who want to get a foot in healthcare and mental health services. You work directly with the community and get to learn about and support the people you work with. Great PTO, great sick leave, great coworkers, supportive management. Recently got a raise too!

Cons

The job isn't for everyone, and it can lead to burnout very quickly. This is a non-profit industry so don't expect to be making a lot of money. There are opportunities to pick up more hours though. Clients can be difficult and while the work is meaningful, it can really feel like you're spending hours on people that don't want your help and don't even really want to work. Not a lot of room for growth within the company either unless someone leaves.
