      I have worked for Cortland for almost 3 years and am now managing my 3rd community. Each one, a different challenge and more growth. One thing that has stayed consistent is the freedom and empowerment to create value for our residents and associates in the best way We know how. We are entrusted to make decisions and it is a great feeling. There is so much support at my finger tips. With the drop of an email or the dial of a phone, Cortland provides support and guidance to the site teams that it is almost impossible to fail. I am always treated with respect and truly feel like when I need assistance, I am asking a brother or a sister - everyone genuinely wants to see you do well. Our goals are all aligned and that is to help each other. Something that is not present in every organization but definitely at Cortland. I am truly appreciative to have an opportunity to say that I am apart of this "family". Both DOs and AOMs I have worked with are phenomenal.

      Honestly, I have to dig in my head to really think if there are any. I have racked my brain for 20 minutes and cannot think of one - my honest feedback.

      I have been employed with Cortland for a little over three years, and I have to say this is by far the greatest company I've ever worked with. The Leadership is phenomenal!! Cortland believes in the betterment of its employees and offers a wide range of self-development classes, wellness programs, and team building practices. The visionary and emotional intelligence that Cortland represents is captivating and is a "breath of fresh air". Cortland employs an array of individuals from various backgrounds and utilizes their education, creativity, experience and knowledge to develop high performance teams, which is one reason Cortland is Successful. If I were to describe Cortland in one sentence; "Delectable Richness of Diversity"! Cortland is divergent, challenging, authentic, passionate, eclectic and committed to changing the way people view multi-family living, and stands true to "Creating Value for a Better Life". I have had the pleasure of working alongside the Greatest Leaders in the industry, the support, motivation, encouragement, direction and comradery within our teams is astounding.

      Pros

      Great team work and espirit de corps. Decent health benefits. Great incentives to stay on board with growing PTO and growing 401K contributions. Lots of room for growth with training to provide development. Allows employees to be empowered to help serve others. Company takes great pride in breaking ground in the industry on customer service and reliability. The bar is set by Cortland.

      Cons

      Can be extremely fast paced, must be flexible, able to stay behind, and willing to go the extra mile. (If your now willing to do that in any job, you might want to check yourself)
