Pros

Being able to get the discounted product. I enjoyed many of my coworkers in the store level.

The company as a whole DOES NOT CARE about their employees. I had a horrible experience at this company. I worked there for over two years with a great manager that I loved. When she was promoted to a higher-volume store, instead of promoting the current assistant manager who had been with the company for 6 years they hired out. The new manager knew nothing, and didn't care about the job whatsoever. She got the assistant manager fired within 2 days of being there, then took a leave of absence for over 2 weeks right after getting the job. She would sit in the back room and do nothing all day. This was horrible for morale as everyone below her making well less than her were doing her job while she sat and ate and socialized and left for hours on end to run "errands". I could NOT believe the way this company shows their "appreciation" for dedicated employees who work for minimum wage and for days on end without a day off. I was offered the assistant manager position when the store went to hell, and it took months to even BEGIN to get me trained. I luckily found another job before being promoted. The horrible manager lasted well over a year without notice of her lacking work and only left when she quit on her own. During this time, the customers complained, employees complained, and it all fell on deaf ears. Our district manager also ignored our concerns, as we genuinely cared about the store when this all started. She looked at me like I was an idiot when I couldn't hold back the tears while trying to explain the situation. She made us all feel inferior and her management strategy was to intimidate and scare us out of asking for anything that we felt we deserved, such as raises. Also, if you don't set up direct deposit, the paper checks come in the store mail on Fridays. My check didn't come on Friday. I was making minimum wage working at Cosmoprof and really needed my measly paychecks. Called my district manager, who didn't answer and never called me back. No one cared. I didn't get my check for 4 days. Didn't matter to them that I couldn't pay my bills- it didn't affect them.

Samples, only sometimes. Vendors don’t like to give away free stuff.

Cons

Low Pay, Understaffed, stressful, expected to be there 24/7 while TM’s and DM’s sit at home.

Nothing Maybe discount but not worth the disrespect

Cons

The Company especially the east coast region, if full of bullies from the VP to the territory down to DMs The amount of negativity is unreal. As a manger you will consistently feel like you are being drawn and quartered. Your blood pressure may increase as did mine. I hope but doubt they will change how they treat their employees Allowing only 15.00 a month for basic store needs such as paper towels and toilet paper included is unexplainable. OSHA should look into their practices. There just is no kindness in this company, will leave you feeling empty.
