Are you considering taking a job with this company? Than RUN, do no walk past GO, do not collect $200. GET OUT NOW! SEVERE disconnect between upper management and the people in the trenches. As a DSC, we were consistently told that systemic problems with technical issues, shipping, warehouse packaging, stock unavailability and lack of follow thru on a corporate level were things that we just had to "deal" with. I had a manager above me who thought that micromanagement was an indicator or efficiency, and that passive aggressiveness was a sign of authority. She failed her teams miserably . My territory has a reputation for a revolving door - I lost count after the first year of how many reps came and went. We had a joke amongst ourselves that we didn't bother getting to know anyone until they were with the company for at lest a year. That's how ridiculous it was. There was the expectation that what you didn't get done while being in front of your account for 8 hours a day, you would simply just do at home in the evenings or on the weekends. My boss worked all the time and more or less, expected the same. Commissions were cut at a point last year on large account and discounted accounts. For example, had an account that did over 100K, but beaucse of the negotiated discounts with corporate, my commission dropped from 13% to 3.5%. There is a new commission structure coming on first of the year, but the company does not provide the tools to make sure that all accounts are in place for the new structure. Therefore, if accounts are not lined between store cards and direct sales, the company does not have to pay commission on those store sales.I never felt that management about me had my back, it was always in defense of the higher ups, rather than fighting for us. I was working in a division that has an FSM on her THIRD stress leave in a year. THAT says volumes. They're sneaky and underhanded and you lie to the sales teams regularly.
