Employee Discount Relaxed Work Environment
Cons
Upper management is not on your side unless you’re a store manager. Our district manager told our store manager that “part timers are easily replaceable so it doesn’t matter if there’s turnover”. This company does not care about sales associates and it shows. They will pay a store manager almost $20 an hour with opportunities for a bonus every quarter, but argue with a manager about giving an associate a 50 cent raise each year. District managers will gossip about other stores/managers with you openly while they’re doing their store visits. I’ve been an assistant manager, store manager, and part time sales associate. I’ve been treated differently in every position. I could go on and on about the negatives. Bottom line, you will not feel important. At least not in the Oregon district. Unless this is your only option, try to find a company that will respect you no matter your job title.
