Pros

The tagline of this company is DO GOOD. The Cotopaxi team truly lives its value statement in all aspects which makes working for Cotopaxi simply great. If you are uncertain about how to DO GOOD in this world, it's a great place to be. You do your job and at the same time there are awesome projects going on with sustainable impact. Academia Meetings every other week give all team members a short update on who is working on what. Employees are appreciated not only through benefits such as health care, unlimited vacation days, in the wildtime and additional time off for adventurous trips but also through sustainable relationships within the team and with business partners (suppliers, customers, courier services, non-profit partners etc.). Every single employee has a special background and great characters. You can tell that every single employee is extremely talented and motivated to thrive in their own field. It's a start-up company, so there is always a lot of work, but it's great to learn, grow and be a part of shaping Cotopaxi.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the hot seat policy. Cotopaxi is growing really fast, that’s why you need to make sure you stay on top of everything.

Pros

-Creative, exciting and fast-paced team environment. -Individuals encouraged to be self-starters, innovative and independent thinkers. -Commitment to founding mission - from senior management to part-time employees, unbelievably committed to the mission of alleviating poverty, responsibly sourcing and manufacturing goods and spread the success of the b-corp model of doing more than just selling gear. -Fast paced - Opportunity to grow your skillset/self quickly through projects and growth initiatives. -Individuals encouraged to live their out adventure travel dreams (they even supply a stipend after 18 mos with the company to use towards this goal!). -Encouraged 10% "in the wild time" where you are encouraged to get outside and live your passion. -Collaborative work environment, small teams owning big pieces of the business with amazing opportunity to share/learn/grow.

Cons

-Time management - with a small team/growing so quickly, at times you can be pulled in multiple directions and it can be difficult to effectively prioritize. -Opportunity for sr. leadership to communicate strategic updates more frequently. -Did I mention the fast pace? While often a "pro", we move quickly and you must actively stay involved to ensure you are up to speed on discussions, decisions, actions.

Pros

Culture is absolutely amazing! There is clearly a 'start-up' vibe that seems to resonate in all the employees. It's a tightly-knit group that has a 'work hard/play harder' attitude. I can honestly say that it's a huge breath of fresh air to work with such a great group.

Cons

None that have encountered, would be surprised if anything arises.
