Pros

Working the morning shift left me time for a second job in the afternoons. Benefits are affordable.

Cons

Negative work environment and nasty coworkers and always short staffed. No room to grow and management didn't advocate for their workers. If you want to be yelled at by management and residents than this will work for you.

Country Meadows works hard to recruit good co-workers and staffs at a higher ratio than required. But it can be frustrating when co-workers don’t do their part. Please reach out to our Home Office or contact our confidential hotline to share your concerns. Thank you for your time as part of our team.

Pros

There are absolutely no pros to this place. Ok, I know some other reviews on here are saying the nurses you encountered treated you bad but I have never came into that encounter so guess that can be a pro. Also the pay was decent.

Cons

I didn't like the management that they had there. They were ALWAYS understaffed and wanted you to pull a double (3p-7a) and then come back at 3p the same day and continue your shift. Also they wanted to keep 1 aide on a hall that had house lifts and catheters and everything else. When I'd ask for help the other CNA'S would ignore me so I had to actually go ask nurses for help and if they weren't busy they'd help me. I never thought that I would have come into something where someone at the same level as me would treat me like that but I guess there's always surprises. Also, I got a severe sickness in January of 2015 and they knew that when I got hired, but they were very rude about taking into consideration of how I felt day to day and how sore I would easily get. (They thought I had rheumatoid arthritis) so overall I didn't like this place whatsoever and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever.

Country Meadows tries our best to staff well, and staffs at a higher ratio than required by the state. But sometimes issues arise with co-workers not doing their part, and we do try to identify and improve those situations. In cases like you mention, we strongly encourage co-workers to call our anonymous compliance line created specifically for co-workers and customers to share concerns and ideas anonymously. That way we can use the information to look into the situation and make changes. Thank you for being a member of our team and best of luck to you.

Ecumenical Retirement Community works hard to create a positive environment for co-workers as well as the residents we serve. Motivated co-workers have many opportunities for advancement, and we are proud to have many team members who have advanced into positions with increased responsibility and pay. Our organization offers “Career Paths” training for most positions and we’re proud of our co-workers who have completed these ladders and have many success stories to share. We have numerous ways for co-workers to report concerns such as reporting them directly to their supervisor, executive director, vice president and even our CEO. We also have a co-worker hotline for people to share concerns anonymously. We really do want to hear about any issues because we honestly believe that every company makes mistakes, and what makes our community one of the best places to work, is what we do about those mistakes or concerns. Best of luck to you.
