Being there for the residents.

Cons

The management sucks. Managers pick and choose favorites, treat employees like crap, suspicous activity with people accumulating a lot of call off days, and managers wont give them the datez they called off if they ask for them to keep track. The nurses act like high schoolers instead of grown adults. Caught smoking in the nurses office or getting nasty with PCAs over stuff thats not the PCAs fault. It is horrible.

Pros

Country Meadows is family owned and organized and you can feel that in the way they manage their neighborhoods and on a day to day basis as front line staff. The environment and the staff are warm and welcoming and it's easy to fit in and make new friends. They do a lot for their co-workers from providing on-site wellness coaches and use of fitness facilities, to providing monthly recognition events and fun things to do, along with great benefits and room to grow and educate yourself within the company.

Cons

Working in personal care in any way and in any community can be physically and mentally draining, but Country Meadows does a lot to encourage their staff to maintain a good work life balance and manage stress.

A lot of work for little pay. Weekends lacked an extra person which lead to not being able to take lunch or breaks

We never tire of hearing it's the co-workers and residents who make it all worthwhile. That's so important. As are wages which is why we frequently research other companies' compensation and benefits packages to ensure we are competitive and fair and based on those findings, make adjustments where needed. When we have openings on shifts, we call upon our PRN (as needed) co-workers to help fill in temporarily. However it is extremely important our teams take their breaks to re-energize, and we are concerned to learn you had to forgo yours at times. That is never our intent. Thank you for bringing this to our attention as we will review with our team to resolve this issue. In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying your new opportunity and are just as fulfilled.
