      You won’t starve to death

      Cons

      Bad management. Doesn’t care about disposable low level employees. Not like that’s not 95% of all companies though. Whatever it takes to make the owner and CEO rich.

      Made some lifelong friends (which were necessary to get through some of these days). Free food and company parties

      Cowan was a wonderful opportunity to learn exactly how a business shouldn’t be run. Work here long enough and/or you are related to someone in the family? VP title for you! Actual talent, innovation of any sort or wanting to do something different have no place here, and it’s a shame because Cowan had the opportunity to do things better, but they opted for nepotism instead. Those who do get promoted greatly lack the skills to do their actual job, and it’s not uncommon for them to verbally abuse employees they don’t like or bully them into quitting.

      Good hourly pay Trucks maintained well

      Cons

      work 11-14 hrs regularly all straight pay. Pushed to run loads with not enough time to return home. Dispatch finds cheap hotel for you. Try to have driver pay for room then get reimbursed.
