Pros

Fun job, lots of involvement with team. There is always something to keep busy with.

Cons

I don't usually write reviews; however, I was surprised to see so many 5-star reviews for this company that were wolves in sheeps' clothing. The reviews blatantly aimed to put down and discredit unhappy employees and put the founder on an unreasonable pedestal that make the reviews seem fake. While the work environment was not terrible, to see reviews putting down employees who complained about compensation is quite ridiculous. Living in San Francisco is expensive, and for a boss to not see your worth and offer you veiled benefits of fun and potential growth; this may not be worth your time. You make the decision for yourself, but if you see the warning signs, don't make the same mistakes we did.

Pros

I have been working at Cozymeal for sometime now and have been working closely with the CEO. I have to say to say that I have not been at a better place before. The negative reviews are from a disgruntled former employee who has been making stories up. For instance, one of the reviews is supposed to be from a "former contractor" and, as far as I know, the company does not have any former contractors yet. - The company is growing and in an exciting industry - The team is hard-working and fun to engage with - The CEO is very experienced and down to earth. He works around the clock to make this a successful company

Cons

- The company is a fast-growing startup. This is not a place for individuals who want to have a slow 9-5 job.

A leaning experience....

Pros

The startup life can be fun. In some ways, Cozymeal is a prototypical startup. A lot happening, a lot moving fast, some excitement in the air. The idea Cozymeal is working on is interesting and unique. The people are kind, and of course food is involved, so that's neat.

Cons

Cozymeal shows many of the red flags that many startups show. Work life balance is challenging. Strategy is lacking. Leadership isn't strong - and transparency is poor. Business ethics and methods are also lacking at times. Interns are unpaid. Full time employees are sometimes treated unfairly. "Growth hacking" tactics are uncomfortable.
