Idea is Innovative, Leadership is Not

Pros

Cozymeal is a great concept in a fast-growing marketplace. If you love food and are inspired by the sharing economy, this startup's idea is forward thinking and exciting. You will be surrounded by smart, driven people who want to work hard to make Cozymeal succeed.

Cons

Leadership is severely lacking. There is no clear vision for execution. Goal-setting is unrealistic and often frustrating. Your work/life balance will be nonexistent. While there are opportunities for growth, the compensation does not make lack of work/life balance worth it. Micromanagement will be part of your life. You will be heavily scrutinized and critiqued. You will have little to no control over your own projects. If you are looking to join an early-stage startup, there are other opportunities in a less toxic environment than this one.

Fun workplace, needs organization

Pros

Everyone on the team is nice and helpful. We meet together most mornings to talk about our tasks and I feel like my opinions are heard.

Cons

Everyone is on pretty equal footing at this company besides for the boss. However, he is often not in the office, and has taken many long vacations, which makes it hard to ask questions or refer to someone with more experience. As a new employee, I wasn't given much direction and didn't even have anyone to ask questions to. Also, the amount of work required ruins the work/life balance and is not worth what I'm getting paid. I feel like my boss doesn't even care if I have a life outside work; staying late is sometimes expected.
