Pros

Leadership is very flexible in terms of hours, scheduling, workload etc. As a global company with employees all over the world, leadership is willing to accommodate everyone's unique circumstances to make things as efficient as possible for the entire team. The CEO is a deeply engaged leader who fosters collaboration at every level. They are also receptive to feedback and willing to listen to any ideas you may have. In addition, they are always willing to have productive, solution-oriented conversations whether it is about meeting business goals, adjusting priorities, or ensuring a healthy work-life balance. I’m proud to say that I love our product and its real-world impact. Seeing how our work directly impacts people in tangible, positive ways is incredibly rewarding. And even though our company primarily works remotely, there is a sense of camaraderie at Cozymeal. Working with my team often feels more like collaborating with friends than simply doing a job. That supportive atmosphere makes our shared goals and successes all the more meaningful. One of the highlights of working at Cozymeal is our annual conference. Each year, the entire team gathers in a fun city for a memorable few days of connecting, learning, and celebrating. Even for newer employees, who may be meeting everyone face-to-face for the first time, it often feels like we’ve known each other for ages thanks to the strong virtual relationships we build day in and day out. While the conference includes productive meetings and discussions, there’s also ample time to enjoy great food, drinks, and stunning views together. By the end, we head home not only inspired by what we’ve accomplished, but also stronger and more close-knit as a team. But I think most of us would agree that it often like we already know each other because of the great relationships we build virtually. But being able to spend quality time together in person

Cons

Because Cozymeal operates in a highly competitive industry, the work environment can be quite fast-paced and demanding. During the most demanding times, juggling multiple tasks and adapting to shifting priorities can feel intense. While this pace can foster rapid skill development and keep things exciting, it also means there’s a lot of pressure and sometimes less predictable hours.

Pros

"I had an excellent experience working at Cozymeal for two years. The interview process was smooth, and expectations were set from the very first moment. I interviewed with Sam, the owner and CEO, who provided clear insights into the role and company culture. The support team was outstanding, and my immediate supervisor Nicole, was always there to assist me every step of the way. The work environment was positive and stress-free, with welcoming and open-minded teammates who made collaboration effortless. The company was also very flexible, providing a great work-life balance that allowed me to thrive both professionally and personally. I highly recommend Cozymeal to anyone looking for a supportive and engaging workplace

Cons

I genuinly don't have anything negative I experienced. Wouldn't have left, however, I moved overseas.

Pros

Great direct team, work from home

Cons

I wasn’t initially planning to leave a review, but recent events have compelled me to share my honest experience. Unfortunately, I can confirm firsthand all of the negative comments already listed here. While Cozymeal has the potential to be a great workplace, the reality is far from it. The company suffers from a severe lack of care and respect for its employees, compounded by heavy micromanagement from the CEO, which creates a stifling work environment. In late 2024, approximately 40% of the staff was abruptly laid off right before the holidays, with no compassion or proper communication. Sadly this was not the second or third round of layoffs in my years with the company. To make matters worse, the company has been onboarding more international contractors to replace full-time U.S.-based employees, further underscoring a lack of loyalty and support for its domestic workforce. Additionally, the chefs on the platform are undervalued, with little care shown by the company’s leadership. This is reflected in recurring payout issues, with several recently occurring within just a three-month period, causing unnecessary frustration for those who are the backbone of the platform. You may also notice three overly positive reviews from December 2024, posted shortly after the mass layoff. These, along with many other positive reviews, appear to have been written to counteract negative feedback and artificially improve the company’s public image. Take this as a word of caution before considering employment here.
