I truly do not know where these flood of positive reviews come from after an employee posts a negative review, since Cozymeal does not have that many full-time employees. I can only assume they are fake or from a previous freelancer who worked on one project. Please be aware of these flood of fake positive reviews and trust the actual reviews left by actual employees.
What these actual reviews will tell you is the truth. Toxic work environment, no regard to mental health or stress, teams being pitted against one another, being overworked and underpaid, etc. I worked for the company for many years and led many teams. Many members of my team were physically sick from stress and mistreatment. A few people over the years have quit after being screamed at by the CEO, including an amazing employee who worked there for well over 5 years. The majority of my job day to day was ensuring the mental health of these team members in a toxic environment while trying to juggle multiple jobs. It did an absolute number on my mental and physical health.
At the end of it all, I was laid off after 7 years with zero severance and zero notice and locked out of all of my accounts, along with 40% of staff.
I won't get into the many issues here, but I will say this is a toxic work environment that is far from healthy or safe.
I know that many share my story and are afraid to speak up so I am doing it on behalf of all of the amazing employees here or who worked here and suffered.
