Pros

-Easy work. If you are competent and have some prior work experience you will be above most of the company in terms of skills. -Multinational company.

Cons

-Horrible culture. Crane advertises strong adherence to its values which are about treating people fairly and doing business open and honestly. However, the actual culture is by far the most dishonest and deceptive I have worked at out of 5 companies I have worked at in my career. Advertising of the "Crane Values" is borderline illegal since Crane flaunts these values to attract employees and customers but does nothing to adhere to them. You have good and bad in every company; here there are far more bad than good people. -Crane brands itself as a manufacturer of highly engineered products. In the fluid handling segment, there is a complete lack of technical competence and everything was engineered 20 years ago and is now trailing the competition. Current leadership is a group of dishonest sales guy type personalities who will say anything but won't actually do much. Unfortunately there is little cohesion and it is every dishonest weasel for himself. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good people there too. Unfortunately, the culture here is dominated by the bad ones. -Bonuses targets are structured so you don't meet them as a corporate cost savings initiative (really). -Don't just listen to me. Ask around the industry what people really think about Crane.

Miserable and Toxic Culture That Refuses to Change

Pros

There are some great people that work at this company (but most move on within a few years). Pay can be competitive (but not worth it), depending on your background.

Cons

The culture is beyond toxic, especially in Cincinnati. Leadership leads by fear rather than by example. People are routinely belittled by management rather than empowered. Diversity and inclusion does not exist here. Neither does any form of work life balance. Adding to the toxic culture is HR. They are not trusted by employees due to the complete lack of transparency and empathy from the department. There is no transparency whatsoever from HR and they do not even understand their own policies. People are misled about bonuses and pay throughout the year. Everyone who moves on from this company is happier both professionally and personally. Please, don't put yourself in a situation where you will dread going to work everyday and find a company that realizes it is the 21st century.

Pros

Travel to different nuclear power plants both domestic and international. Meat new people at every job site and cultures.

Cons

Make promises that they never keep. Lies to employees way too often. Always seems to change job descriptions to better suit themselves instead of staying within the job outline.
