Pros

Working on a big market and mission to bring modern business technology thru persistent chat to employees who don’t have email addresses and work computers - truckers, waiters, fast food workers, construction workers, retail employees, auto-shops, etc Viral growth has lead to a large user base across industries and sizes who love the product Highly driven team full of self-starters; encouraged to make decisions and room for mistakes Strong engineering org led by technical co-founders

Cons

You need to be able to work within a lot of change; the org is working thru the changes from growing from 10->50 + employees and continuing to hire Processes haven’t kept up with growth, some manual work can be automated Need to build out customer-facing organization to serve user base

Pros

Crew has been and continues to be an incredible company to work for. The product that we're building matters and it feels great to help develop technology for workers who aren't in the limelight. The company was founded by two engineers so the foundation of the app is rock solid and we keep to a consistent release schedule with new features! On top of that, the primary company value is empathy so we're hyper-focused on our customers needs and build out solutions that fit in to their workflow. Everyday I get to work with customers and learn from them and funnel those insights to our team! I also get the opportunity to work cross functionally across many teams and gain experience in areas that I'd like to grow in like product development! Management is really transparent about what's going on in the company and I'm consistently getting great feedback about how to improve from the leaders who I report to.

Cons

Crew is still a start up and you'll need to be resourceful and comfortable with ambiguity to succeed here.

Pros

I've worked at several tech companies in my career, some small (<10 people) and some big (50,000+ people). Crew has been the best by far. Although the company is still young, it's clear that our leaders have thought a lot about culture and are doing their best to build a good foundation. Examples of this include: - Opportunities for anyone to influence the company roadmap, including a model of "sponsorship" whereby an individual can champion a feature they believe strongly in, and propose it at our weekly product meetings - Channels for employees to ask questions anonymously: this feedback is then addressesed by our company leaders during our weekly all-hands - Quarterly small group dinners with our company leaders to maintain a sense of closeness even as the company grows These are just a few things that come to mind! Besides our culture, I've found my co-workers to be some of the nicest people I've worked with. I hope to continue working at Crew for a long time to come.

Cons

Startup life is fast-paced, which may not be ideal for everyone.
