No job security, quick to punish but light on praise, promotions are based on politics rather than talent.
Pros
Benefits are decent, and the job is somewhat tolerable if you get a manager that will go to bat for you and challenge some of the idiotic decisions by management. Company does invest in resources such as Careerbuilder. Some managers will try to bring some fun into the office.
Cons
Overall, a miserable place to work where management cares little about the employees. You're only as good as your last phone report. Management treats employees like school children and are quick to punish for any little supposed infraction. Salaries are well below industry average, and if you start to make any decent money, they'll find a reason to either change your territory or fire you. Loyalty means nothing because a longtime employee can be fired just as easily as a new one. Promotions are based more on politics than talent. The amount of paperwork they expect the temp employees to fill out in the hire packet is ridiculous and turns off a lot of potential employees. Managers give lip service to work/life balance but really want people to work 10 to 12 hour days. Management has also done things to employees which could have invited a lawsuit.
