Pros

You will likely be the brightest bulb there. Thats why many of us left for better jobs. Work life balance is great because nobody cares about you so you can come and go as you please. Everyone maximizes their time off, expense accounts, and free food because your work isnt valued, so you may as well enjoy yourself.

Cons

Each cross office competes with each other, yet expects one office to pick up the slack (with no extra pay) when another isnt pulling their weight. If you are in sales in nh or Maine, you’ll absolutely end up calling the client of another office but wont be allowed to write their business So as to avoid stepping on any toes. Offices are very segregated. How well you do there is based on a popularity contest. Leaders are constantly bickering instead of performing. The p&c and benefits divisions are bleeding money to eastern, risk, marsh, and others because management promotes popular people, not the best people for the job. The company is a conglomerate of three recently acquired firms, whose owners all left and still compete with them to this day. They had to start a “culture committee” because nobody is actually interested in what others have to say.

Don’t fall for the trap

Pros

None. I would give them negative stars if I could. They would start you off with a high salary but just to get you on board and then cut your pay because of budget issues. They expect employees to work hard just so the company could acquire agencies. Organic growth is next to none.

Cons

Management has no sense of direction. Lack of experience and no support and resources. Managers have never led a brokerage before since they all came from the carriers side. They would tell you one thing this week, and would do something totally different the following week.
