Pros

Pay was average, but benefits were fantastic. Small activities and extras for employees to steer them away from the overall overkill of work with no assistance in sight.

Cons

Micromanagement/favoring of certain individuals. There is a culture that you may find similar in a high school prevalent here. The truth on management and inexperience is very obvious.

I appreciate you sharing your views on the time you spent with Crown. We get a lot of positive feedback on the quality of our benefits and I'm glad you found they reflected your needs. The things you describe in terms of culture have no place in our B3 values and I'd advise any employee who encounters that to report it to a senior leader or anonymously via our Alert Line. We're proud of our company's consistent increase in revenue. It's allowed us to grow as a business, and when we perform well financially, our teammates share in that through our annual incentive plan and 401k. Thank you for posting your review and I wish you all the best in your career.

Could be great

Pros

Many of the people I work with are knowledgeable and hard working. The company has a great set of assets that if leveraged properly could make for a great business to work for.

Cons

Executives are more concerned with filling seats in offices than they are with setting us up to succeed. The push to have more people in Houston, the lack of flexibility with the new ‘hybrid’ schedule, along with putting more responsibilities on current employees has destroyed most of what made this a pleasant place to work. Raises are not keeping pace with inflation and benefits have been reduced. Don’t count on bonuses either as leadership has made it clear that it’s not a sure thing. Telecom is a cyclical industry, but this most recent slowdown has been handled terribly.

All those great benefits are slowly disappearing

Pros

Try to think but don’t hold your breath.

Cons

So, Business Support thinks they know what is best for employees. A horrible decision the company made is to no longer allow employees to carry Earned PTO over for the previous year. Used to be able to carry 120 hours; now they decide you can’t carry any. Employees carrying PTO to the next year has no financial impact on the company, so why change it? I thought employee morale couldn’t get any lower; but holy smokes was I wrong. It’s all you hear from employees is how it’s not the Crown it used to be; a lot of unhappy people with the PTO decision. They almost want you to plan when your going to be sick and schedule time. What a dump this place is.
